Dr Anne Moir of Brainsex Matters is an internationally recognised and widely published authority on the rapidly developing science of neuropsychology. She asked Forge to create a memorable identity for Brainsex. Forge wanted to create something that stood out and clearly reflected Anne’s focus on the brain.
The final identity used contrasting colours within the word mark to ensure that the word ‘brainsex’ stood out. Behind the text was a graphic shape of a neuron. Supporting imagary used was of two blue neurons connecting, to form a bright red light. It stood out dramatically from the black background and the red light is almost piercing to look at. This image was used on the back of the stationery designed for Brainsex and was certainly attention grabbing.
The final result was a memorable, evocative identity that looks striking and impressive.
