Liverpool 1 is a 1.65 million sq ft shopping and leisure centre, with 160 shops, over 20 bars, a park and a cinema. The building was completed in 2008, coinciding with Liverpool’s year as the European City of Culture. Before the project was completed, Advance Cleaning Services were bidding for the vertical cleaning contract. Forge put together a 64-page document to demonstrate Advance’s abilities and suitability for the job.
The copy was detailed but concise, answering each tendering query clearly. In terms of photography, Advance were London’s first IRATA approved company, so we wanted to demonstrate their ability to access even the most awkward building. We used striking images of Advance Cleaning 30 St Mary Axe (‘the Gherkin’) as well as some beautiful images of the Liverpool scenery. The final document was professional, detailed and attention grabbing.
